Dr. Naveed Anwar, CEO of CSI Bangkok had the remarkable opportunity to visit Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) in Bangkok on September 5, 2024. During his visit, he met with Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) officials, including Dr. Pramin Norachan to discuss strategic collaborations.
The meeting aimed to integrate advanced engineering practices into academia and create opportunities for professional growth. By addressing modern engineering challenges, this collaboration seeks to equip future engineers with essential skills and tools.
Key Highlights & Activities during the visit:
- Introduction to CSI Bangkok and AIT Solutions: Dr. Naveed outlined CSI Bangkok’s mission to bridge academic knowledge and industry applications through innovation. The discussion emphasized aligning education with contemporary demands.
- Invitation to the CSI Event (October 9-10, 2024): SWU officials and students were invited to a two-day event featuring seminars, expert panels, and the 50th Anniversary Celebration Gala—an ideal platform for networking and exploring advancements in structural engineering.
- Seminars on Emerging Technologies: Seminars and panels on “Buildings and Emerging Technologies” will encourage adopting innovative approaches to design and construction.
- CSI Software Licensing: Senior undergraduate and graduate students at SWU will gain access to CSI’s advanced engineering software, enhancing their practical skills and professional readiness.
- Training and Internships: Opportunities for internships, expert-led lectures, and training at AIT Solutions and CSI Bangkok were highlighted, fostering experiential learning and industry exposure.
- Concrete Design Challenge: A hackathon organized by CSI Bangkok will aim to use CSiCOL software to challenge students in designing concrete columns and shear walls. It will also promote creativity and hands-on application of engineering concepts.
Through software access, knowledge and skills training, we continue to bridge academia and industry.
