On Tuesday, 28 July 2026, CSI Bangkok and NED University of Engineering and Technology signed a Memorandum of Association (MoA) to establish a strategic collaboration that will help develop engineering technology, professional services, and capacity building in Pakistan.
Expanding Access in Pakistan
Under the agreement, NED University, through the NED University Virtual Reality Center, will serve as an Associate of CSI Bangkok in Pakistan.
The collaboration aims to strengthen connections between academia and industry while expanding access to advanced engineering technologies, technical knowledge, and professional development opportunities for students, academics, and practicing engineers.
MoA Signing Ceremony
The agreement was signed on 28 July 2026 at Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi Hall, VC Secretariat, NED University, Karachi.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. M. Tufail, Vice Chancellor of NED University; Prof. Dr. Sarosh Lodi, Senior Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council and Chairman of CIEC, Sindh Higher Education Commission; and Dr. Naveed Anwar, Founder and CEO of CSI Bangkok.
Also present were Prof. Dr. Noman Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor of NED University, along with the university’s registrar, deans, chairpersons, and faculty members.
Other members from CSI Bangkok included Mr. Amir Izhar, Head of Research and Innovation; and Engr. Hammad, Structural Engineer and AI Specialist.
Presentations and Formal Signing
Prof. Dr. Farrukh Arif, Director of the NED University Virtual Reality Center, introduced the scope and objectives of the association. This was followed by addresses from Prof. Dr. M. Tufail and Dr. Naveed Anwar.
The program also included a presentation of NED University’s institutional portfolio and a technical presentation by CSI Bangkok on its engineering technologies and solutions.
The MoA was formally signed by the Registrar of NED University and Dr. Naveed Anwar, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership focused on knowledge exchange, technology adoption, and engineering capacity development in Pakistan.
