Selected highway engineers, consultants, and contractors from across the Philippines gathered at the Makati Shangri-La in Makati City for an exclusive, invite-only technical forum focused on parametric bridge design and emerging related technologies.
On April 22, 2026, CSI Bangkok Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Petro Jikken Inc., convened a private technical focus group discussion dedicated to parametric solutions and digital workflows for bridge engineering. The event provided a focused setting for invited industry professionals involved in infrastructure development to exchange technical perspectives on current practices, implementation challenges, and evolving technologies within the Philippine bridge sector.

Discussions started with Dr. Naveed giving a short presentation on the vision and future of bridge engineering based on parametric bridge design. He covered parametric design methodologies, developments in construction technology, workflow integration, and the practical application of advanced engineering tools in bridge projects.

The forum also encouraged open dialogue on the opportunities and limitations associated with adopting these approaches in local practice.

“This initiative aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of emerging technologies in bridge design, construction, and maintenance while exploring their practical application within the Philippine context.”
This event reflects CSI Bangkok’s commitment to advancing structural engineering through knowledge sharing, technical exchange, and stronger links between academia and practice.
CSI Bangkok extends its appreciation to Petro Jikken Inc. for its collaboration and support in organizing the event, as well as to all invited participants for contributing their expertise and professional experience to the discussion.
