March 19 – Dr. Naveed Anwar and Dr. Pramin Norachan visited the Civil Engineering Department at Chulalongkorn University to conduct a seminar on advancements in structural engineering and introduce students to CSi Software as well as CSI Bangkok’s activities.

Dr. Naveed delivered an insightful presentation covering fundamentals in analysis, emerging trends, cutting-edge tools, and innovations in structural engineering.

Dr. Pramin’s presentation focused on real-world application of advanced software tools and case studies based on several projects in different countries.

There was quite a bit of chatter and interest during both presentations. Students were keen on asking questions and learning more about the subject matter.

Announcements and Networking
The mini seminar at Chulalongkorn University also served as a platform to announce an upcoming Hackathon focused on ETABS, inviting university graduate and undergraduate teams to compete in a structural analysis and design challenge. Every university in Thailand will be able to nominate 1-2 teams. Further details to be announced soon.
After the presentation, a networking break allowed students to engage with Dr. Naveed and Dr. Pramin in a more interactive and casual setting. This sparked enlightening discussions on both sides.

During this time, Dr. Naveed also exchanged gifts with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witit Pansuk as a symbol of continued collaboration.
