On Friday, October 11, 2024, the senior management team and engineers from Computers and Structures, Inc., located in the United States, visited CSI Bangkok at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).
The visit was a highlight of their trip to Bangkok, which included a seminar and corporate event titled: “Buildings & Emerging Technologies.”
The aim of the visit was to gain updates on the progress of ongoing projects and explore further collaborations with the Asian Institute of Technology.

Highlights of the visit
The day began with the team from CSI USA departing from Siam Kempinski Hotel.
Upon arrival, the team was taken for a tour around the office where they met with key members of the staff at AIT and CSI Bangkok.



Discussions focused on the work being done and how CSI USA can continue to support these efforts. Dr. Naveed Anwar shared his visions and plans for the company.
The visit also included meetings with Prof. Pai-Chi Li, the President of AIT.

After the meetings, the delegation enjoyed lunch at the AIT Dining Room, hosted by Ms. Suthathip. The informal setting allowed the teams to make deeper interpersonal connections and have relaxed discussions.
Engaging Future Engineers
Post-lunch, the team engaged with over 70 AIT students during a session at the AIT Conference Center. Organized by Mr. Binay and Dr. Krishna, the session offered insights into emerging trends in structural engineering and the transformative role of software in the industry.

The delegation also toured AIT’s cutting-edge facilities, including:
- Entrepreneurship Center: Highlighted by Ms. Jennifer, showcasing innovative projects.
- Structure Lab: Led by Dr. Krishna, showcasing advanced research initiatives.
- AIT Solutions: Presented by Mr. Aung, featuring entrepreneurial and business innovations.

CSI expressed deep admiration for the pioneering work being conducted at AIT and CSI Bangkok. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting research facilities and programs that train the next generation of engineers.
The visit concluded at 3:00 PM, with the team returning to their hotel, marking a productive day of collaboration and knowledge exchange.
