On April 24, 2025, CSI Bangkok took part in the AI and The Future of Asia Executive Forum, hosted by the Asian Institute of Technology’s School of Management at the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel.
The event brought together 100 senior executives, policymakers, and academics to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping the future of business, leadership, and society across Asia.
The event combined thought-provoking keynote speeches, an engaging panel discussion, and a networking session that sparked meaningful conversations
Keynote speakers
- Prof. Yuosre Badir, Dean of AIT School of Management, opened the session by highlighting AI as a transformative force redefining leadership, innovation, and competition.
- Prof. Pai-Chi Li, President of AIT, emphasized the need for responsible AI innovation and the integration of education, policy, and ethics to bridge digital divides.
- Dr. Suwit Khunkitti, Chief Guest, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Vice-Chairperson of the AIT Board of Trustees, spoke about AI’s role in unlocking industrial opportunities and urged responsible innovation and leadership development.
- Dr. Jesús López, Guest of Honour and President of the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS), discussed the intersection of AI, finance, and sustainability, and announced a new partnership with AIT SOM to advance sustainable finance education.
- Assoc. Prof. Joon Nak Choi, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), addressed the importance of moving beyond surface-level AI adoption, empowering end users, and driving long-term productivity.
The forum concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Sam Hannah, Co-Director of AIT’s Executive MBA Program, who emphasized the importance of character-driven leadership in an AI-driven world.
Panel Discussion and networking
Dr. Naveed Anwar, CEO of CSI Bangkok, joined a panel discussion moderated by Assoc. Prof. Joon Nak Choi.
The panel discussed how AI is being used in decision-making, meeting ESG requirements, advancing personalized learning, and building emerging tech ecosystems.
Dr. Naveed Anwar shared his perspectives on how AI is being applied in engineering, infrastructure, and industry development.
Other panelists included Prof. Pai-Chi Li, President of AIT; Dr. Neo Kok Beng, Group CEO of Neo Aeronautics; Dr. Naveed Anwar, Group CEO of CSI Bangkok; Dr. Tiranee Achalakul, Director at Government Big Data Institute; and Dr. Savanit Boonyasuwat, Assistant Secretary to Climate Change Institute, The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI).
Participants later joined the Network Xperience session, where they engaged in informal discussions, exchanged ideas, and explored collaboration opportunities between academia, industry, and policymakers.
