On October 8, 2023, CSI Bangkok welcomed H.E. Dr. Suwit Khunkitti, former Deputy Prime Minister, former Minister of Education of Thailand, and current Vice-Chairperson of the AIT Board of Trustees, in recognition of his pivotal role in establishing the office under BOI support.
His leadership was vital in transforming the vision of establishing CSI Bangkok as a Thailand-based R&D center for Computers and Structures Inc. (CSI) into a reality.
During the visit, Dr. Suwit Khunkitti met with Dr. Naveed Anwar, CEO of CSI Bangkok along with other AIT staff from different departments to explore the progress since the office’s opening.
The discussions covered ongoing collaborations with AIT, the role of advanced structural engineering technologies in education and practice, and CSI Bangkok’s efforts to contribute to the Thailand’s (and the region) innovation and knowledge-based economy.
Dr. Naveed emphasized that CSI Bangkok is not only a software development company but also a hub for creating knowledge products to advance the structural engineering field and community.
The visit was also an opportunity for CSI Bangkok to express appreciation for Dr. Suwit’s long-standing support and vision.
