CSI Bangkok welcomed a team from Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI) on June 18, 2025. The delegation was led by Mr. Nuttapon Suttitam, Vice Chairman of the Construction Material Cluster under the Federation of Thai Industries. Mr. Nuttapon also serves as Assistant Vice President at SSI, where he leads the Steel Construction Technology and Market Development Division.
The visit was an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore potential collaboration between CSI Bangkok and Sahaviriya Steel Industries growing initiatives.
During the meeting, both organizations shared their organizational goals and experiences in structural engineering education and engagement.
Initial ideas for collaboration were discussed, including potential joint webinars, CSI software tutorials and testing, and participation in the upcoming SSI Steel Construction Forum 2025.
While many other concepts and ideas are still in early discussion, both sides agreed on the importance of working together to promote knowledge-sharing and practical learning to promote advancement in the field of structural engineering.
The meeting marked a positive first step in what may become a very meaningful and long-lasting collaboration.
