Analysis and design of Industrial Building and Warehouse Structures

CSI Bangkok and ACECOMS from AIT Solutions, in collaboration with the Excellent Center for Sustainable Engineering (ECSE) and Rail-Mate-Inno from Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), hosted a hybrid seminar on the Analysis and Design of Industrial and Warehouse Structures. 

Event Highlights 

This interactive and insightful event welcomed 55 in-person participants – mostly young structural engineers, designers, and students from Thailand. The seminar was also broadcast live on Zoom to over 60 highly engaged attendees from around the world. 

The seminar featured expert presentations by professionals from CSI Bangkok, AIT Solutions, and KMUTT. Topics included parametric modeling variations, steel design considerations, and live demonstrations of warehouse frame structures. 

Participants also got an exclusive first look at CSiSteel, a new software in development and set to launch soon. This was the first public presentation of the software, highlighting its features and future potential for structural engineering. 

Overall Atmosphere & Takeaways 

• Professional Atmosphere: The modern and well–equipped venue at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit provided a comfortable learning environment, with a professional yet relaxed ambiance. 

• Positive Feedback: The seminar received generally positive feedback from attendees, who appreciated the practical demonstrations, expert insights, and interactive format. Many expressed interests in the software, future workshops and training opportunities. 

• Networking: Coffee breaks and a lunch break with a delicious international buffet allowed participants to exchange ideas and build professional connections in a relaxed setting. 

• Interactive Engagement: Zoom provided a convenient way for attendees to ask questions and engage in discussions, which enhanced the overall learning experience.

Mr. Keerati Tunthasuwatana from AIT Solutions shared valuable insights on steel structure design using SAP2000. 

One of the outstanding highlights of the was a special talk by guest speaker Dr. Sutat Leelataviwat, an associate professor at KMUTT. His session on design considerations for steel industrial and warehouse structures offered practical takeaways and sparked intriguing discussions among the participants.
