9ACEE - 9th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering

9th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering

Overview

9ACEE or the 9th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering will take place from 4 to 6 May 2026.

Having been hosted across Asia in cities such as Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, Cebu, and Taipei, the conference now heads to Kathmandu for its 2026 edition.

This year’s focus, Risk to Resilience: Linking Science to the People, is grounded in one question: how does engineering translate into real-world impact of seismic activity? The discussions are centered on what actually gets designed, built, and relied on when it matters.

About the conference

9ACEE is a three-day technical conference that will feature an opening ceremony and welcome addresses followed by keynote lectures and parallel technical sessions led by distinguished speakers. A wide range of earthquake engineering and resilience topics will be discussed during the conference to promote knowledge-sharing and expertise between engineers, researchers and academics.

In additional to the discussions and talks, the conference will also have banquets, networking sessions and even an optional field visit to Bhaktapur (an ancient UNESCO World Heritage Site).

CSI and CSi Bangkok at 9ACEE

Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI) together with CSi Bangkok will be supporting 9ACEE as title sponsors.

Their involvement includes:

  • Technical session by Dr. Naveed Anwar, CEO of CSI Bangkok
  • A dedicated exhibition booth hosted alongside with CSI India
  • Direct engagement with participants on tools, workflows, and engineering challenges

This is part of CSI Bangkok’s commitment to advancing engineering practice through knowledge sharing and practical software solutions. It also gives participants direct access to the team.
