Welcome to another edition of our Eagle Eye hands-on workshop series, where we explore the analysis and design of building structural models using web-based apps. In this session we will look at what a realistic three-dimensional view of a building analysis model shows about its geometry, the design decisions behind it, its response under load, and the design forces in its members.
Engineers interested in this topic, and in hands-on practice with Eagle Eye Prism for ETABS, are welcome to register for the workshop using the link below.
Title: Visual Insights into Building Structural Models
Theory: How a building is idealized as an analysis model, and how its geometry, deformation and design forces are interpreted.
Practice: Hands-on exploration of an ETABS high-rise model in the browser: isolating, coloring, animating and filtering.
Presenters:
In this hands-on workshop, we will be using for the first ever, Eagle Eye – Prism, a browser-based structural model viewer. To follow along with the practice session, please make sure you have an Eagle Eye account if you have not already made one. Opening a new account is completely free for 30 days at Pro level.
Questions can be sent to [email protected] or posted on the Eagle Eye Community Platform. All past workshop resources, including video recordings and presentation documents, are available in the community or on our webinar portal.
