On July 18, 2024, Dr. Naveed Anwar, CEO of CSi Bangkok, attended the 10th International Conference on Sustainable Proactive Advocacies in Civil Engineering (SPACE 2024 Conference) held at Century Park Hotel in Manila, Philippines. The conference, organized by The Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (ASEP), brought together experts and practitioners to discuss innovative solutions and sustainable practices in civil engineering.
Dr. Naveed Anwar contributed to the event with a keynote speech that provided useful insights on the integration of advanced technologies in sustainable engineering practices.
The event was divided into 7 technical sessions spread across the two, very knowledge-intensive days. Topics included diverse areas of engineering such as transportation, energy, environment, structural, and civil engineering. Presentations were delivered by experts from leading universities such as De La Salle University, University of the Philippines, Nara Institute of Science and Technology, and Victoria University.
There were also talks by industry professionals like Ayala Land Estates, Arcadis, Arup, and Base Bahay Foundation. Discussions highlighted innovations in artificial intelligence, sustainable construction, climate-resilient infrastructure, advanced materials, green building practices, and digital twin applications, reflecting the collaboration between academia, industry, and government in advancing the civil engineering field.
