CSiCOL Design Quest

CSiCOL Design Quest

Overview

On October 5, 2024, CSI Bangkok hosted the CSiCOL Design Quest, a hackathon-style competition for civil engineering students to test their skills in cross-section analysis and column design. Students used CSiCOL software, developed by Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI), to solve real-world design problems involving concrete and composite columns.

68 Students from 14 universities joined the event, which was an exciting platform for learning and skill development. The competition had two categories: Undergraduate and Graduate. This allowed students at different levels to participate and apply their knowledge in a practical setting.
Dr. Ashraf Habibullah, CEO of Computers and Structures, Inc., presented prizes to the winners at the awards ceremony on October 9, 2024. The winning students also had the unique opportunity to meet with Dr. Ashraf, gaining valuable insights into the industry and practical guidance for building a successful career in structural engineering.
This student Challenge Series is part of CSI ongoing efforts and mission to support the engineering community through practical learning and access to useful tools.
